prolific dutch artist conforce is back with another lp on delsin records. this one marks something of a subtle evolution in his sound in that it returns to a more organic and immersive aesthetic. made using various bits of outboard gear, it fuses dub rhythm with ambient detail and propulsive 4/4 kick drums to make for absorbing listening. once again, then, this album proves no one does deep electronic music as well as conforce.
enduring ambient and soundtrack specialist john beltran has finished another full length album for delsin records. entitled espais, it lands in summer 2015 and features 17 beautiful tracks that range from dreamy and heavenly to more meaning and moving. emotional from start to finish, it once again finds beltran using moderns tools and techniques with classical musical values. part synthetic and machine made, part organic and natural, it is another fine opus from the michigan man.
the people behind the amazing mareh festival in brasil (the southern hemisphere s answer to electric elephant), drop yet more top drawer music as their label journey continues to gain strength. set in the lush settings of bahia where day blends into night and sun into moon, mareh continues to attract some first class artists from around the world to release on their imprint. the second release kicks off with glasgow based production wizard the revenge letting loose a late night groove that takes a blissful string sample and then works it for the dance floor. it s top stuff from the man with the roaring grooves. and rumours have it that the revenge himself will be headlining at this year s legendary nye event in bahia alongside tim sweeney, pete herbert & dicky trisco. next up is berlin based disco and house aficionado eddie c who drops an uber cool, cut up disco chugger that is likely to work your sunset and early morning sets to the max. mareh favourite pete herbert then steps up to the controls and delivers an upbeat, balearic dance floor banger that hits all the right notes and then hits them again. you can almost smell the hierbas on this one! last but not least, tokyo based englishman max essa delivers an electronic ode to late night dancing and early morning dips as he joins the dots between the tokyo underground and the fresh bahian surf. wonderful stuff. so mareh really are out to pull in a truly global sound to their label outing with glasgow, berlin, london, ibiza and tokyo all represented as well as their spiritual homelands sao paulo, and of course the place where it all happens each new year... bahia.
above machined return after their extra special debut 10- outing (and something of a secret weapon !) just over a year ago here we have another mighty 10- platter featuring a side cut bad runner a nicola bruni rewire featuring luca cacciatore on sax. it s an irresistible mediterranean groove, which is far more dirty cocktails & dark corner deals than it is vest and linen slacks - think don carlos meets the vincent montana orchestra on the flip we re treated to the dazzling slo-mo communication breakdown where twisted tongue takes on a library rarity and transforms it into a balearic masterpiece ! the above machine stamp of quality all over this one - limited 10- release
red laser returns with four tracks from ste spandex. if you ve heard any ste spandex productions you ll know what to expect ! this ep is a fascinating collision of diverse dance music aesthetics & bristles with energy and passion. as usual all the tracks are live takes with various hardware working overtime from ste s orchestration. side 1 features two tracks with long time collaborator sarah bates. soaking wet is a peak time workout with tightly sprung drums, whirling effects & sarah s vocals weaved enticingly throughout the track. next is breakin my heart, an addictive bubbler melding house and boogie feelings with the vocals more centre stage. side 2 kicks off with gotta move, an 80 sesque grinder. pumped bass rubs up against squelched keys and peaky synth riffs, while nice weather closes things down, a short and sweet movement of shuffling drums and swerving synth action.
more early support from amandra (ahrpe), antonio de angelis, arnaud le texier, blndr, dj sandrien, edanticonf, elle, nima khak, oscar mulero, refracted, retina.it, rraph, samuli kemppi, shaded explorer, subforms, the noisemaker, tommy four seven, unam zetinebm, victor martinez / error etica, vilix among others.
emotive tracks by two super producers who impressed cartulis day with their memorable sets. the collective invites tommy vicari jnr and anton zap once again, this time to showcase their music for the labels third release. tommy vicari jnr brings us a deeply playful side a track, well suited for those special after hours. anton zap names his track after crucifix lane, cartulis home for more than 5 years before it was forced to close earlier this year. he recreates that stomping ground atmosphere with this b track, sure to keep a dance floor pulsating during the peak of the night.
on their launch last september, australian label analogue attic promised to showcase the gentle side of electronic music down under. theyre as good as their word on this second release, which comes from rory mcpike under his rings around saturn alias. operating on a similar plane to the tactile, picturesque soundscapes of lord of the isles more spacey work, both erosion and portion 22 offer dreamy chords, becalmed melodies and sparse, spaced-out rhythms. there are a few sly winks towards vintage ambient house throughout, particularly on gypsy village, a luscious combination of liquid melodies and eyes-closed hypnotism. label bosses sean la brooy and alex albrecht go further towards vintage ambient territory on their sublime bathtime arrangement of portion 22.
athens of the north presents two of the disco floaters from our previously unreleased aotnlp original friends and buddies, both of these versions are on 45 for the first time. the stripped down version of silence that you keep benefits from the more direct tight vocal. without the synths there is much more space in the mix which suits the melancholy deep disco groove so much better. on the flip po man has also been stripped right back to its more basic elements also for the better, less is so much more.
deep disco warrior the revenge turns in an epic hypnotic mix of slow burning house nailed down by analogue bass and acid. using a filtered vocal it builds slowly as the bottom end is tweeked towards a mesmeric journey through minimal wigged out disco. sleazy mcqueen and romano arcaini turn in a disco inflected house mix with congas, spaces out synths and enough dynamics to keep any dancefloor bubbling. it builds with added percussion and a filtered pad before the lead hits the break and the track comes back in with even more wallop. drug empire is an original off the album and has had support from the likes of rune lindbaek, crazy p’s hot toddy and horse meat disco. said to be inspired by theo parrish’s productions it’s a delicious slice of bass driven deep disco with a nod to the looser end of detroit and chicago. it’s all about the fully locked in three note analogue moog bass which holds down the grooved out drums before breaking to jazzy rhodes at the end. one for the heads.
before you can remember anything you are about to say to me i will tell you its time for a second round! why even bother searching for questions if ancient future already has the answers to them? delivered again in the form of four tracks by four different artists, this is number two! played & support by peter kruder, booka shade, larse, ed ed, kiki, andre crom, rainer trueby, vanilla ace and many more
here comes the next part in the sick edits series of toy tonics records. 3 secret weapons of the toy tonics & gomma records crew. this time made by new kid from the block kapote. soon more from this little genius on tt.
iib reach their 40th release with label stalwart max essa s latest ep. feel the machine is a protohouse groove with touches of italodisco. chugging bassline and cowbells making it a real dancer. panapolean dreamer is a more downtempo beat driven affair with eastern strings on a mellow new beat vibe. the second side starts with tall shadows walking home. again max explores the proto house sound all smothered in lovely electronic melodies. twenty types of dusk relaxes the tempo again. trademark max essa balearic. a killer ep. to celebrate 40 12inch releases.
reprising his long and fruitful association with poker flat, martin landsky - elder statesmen and bona fide legend of berlins club scene - serves up another superb ep that is more than ample testimony to decades of experience in production and behind the decks at virtually every noteworthy club or festival you might care to name.
very limited 250 run on 180g vinyl in printed sleeve with hand stamped centre labels.
a new vinyl record label founded and run by long time birmingham based producer & dj, etym. the label initially serves as an output for self-penned productions focussing on techno in its many guises. st001 - trial 01 is the first release and is a four track ep. taking in a broad ranging musical spectrum, these tracks range from the dubby, sinister edge of 01.1 and heavy 4x4 rhythm of 01.3, right through to the more melodic sounds of the 909 led workout 01.2 and the swelling juno pads of last track 01.4. all tracks created using hardware synths, drum machines and field recordings.
number three in the four part schleiben series from emotional response arrives with dont dj and tropical hi-fi at the controls. the former is the current creative endeavour of florian meyer, founder of the diskant label and one of the more experimental and academic producers to surface from dusseldorf in recent times. he also forms one third of the durian brothers. meyers kosmose is a 20 minute piece which explores the link between polyrhythmic percussion and brooding electronics understandably, its ripe with introspective qualities. offering some contrast, northern australian producer tropical hi-fi turns in oceanic mythology, a meandering journey through found sounds, psychedelia, folk music and more which sounds like listening to sued b-sides whilst tripped out on acid.
for those who dont know about mg gost, he is an extremely talented producer/musician residing in novi sad, serbia. a member of the well respected hain teny collective, mg gost is always creating that dope ish. *waking walk* is the debut lp from mg gost and features an all-star emcee lineup, such as g-force, tableek, jack jones aka audessey, cadence and many more. the album also features 2 bonus remixes, courtesy of dirty hairy and slone.
THE WILDNERNESS SESSIONS PART 2 - TALES FROM CATURDAY
12 Inch 29.06.15
the second installment of uzuri’s “the wilderness sessions” delivers 3 tracks geared towards the refined dancers and listeners of the world. the idea here is slow burning broken beat tracks infused with the soul of jazz and funk. the ep opens with fox ‘n hound, a slightly menacing and equally sexy jam which ebbs and flows with a delightfully funky bass line and enough melodic accents to keep full attention. the secret here is in the details which are craft-fully manipulated by this talented duo. futonjam continues the trend of beautifully unfolding composition with its shuffled percussion and gracefully evolving melodies. a perfect track for home listening and for those deep sultry moments on the dance floor. the crown jewel of this release is certainly the near 9 minute odyssey that is zukunft/ silber. a track which entertains and pushes towards a sophisticated style which is undeniably unique in approach. using broken patterns as a back drop for beautifully orchestrated strings, micro flutes and longing horns it transforms from a sweet and delicate sound to something more demanding of our bodies movement. this release will be sure to mark the beginning of what we can expect from these two producers who clearly aim to set themselves apart from the crowd.
PLANETARY TRANQUILITY (RON ALBRECHT & STEFAN REIN RMXS)
12" 29.06.15
early suuport by rodhad, pfirter, norman nodge, etapp kyle, rolando, dj deep, inigo kennedy, kr!z and many more. odd / even boss andre kronert brings the fire to the third ep from fledgling underground label pure traxx. the artist behind last years hit stockholm ltd ep >exu< serves up two more deep cuts of the grittiest of analogue techno. label head stefan rein and dystopian artist ron albrecht deliver equally potent interpretations to round off the release. sinister sounds for dark spaces.
exciting 2nd release on the roze balletten label from belgium by a (new?) artist named walrus. a lovely 6track ep with a blend of house tracks ranging from melodic moody, jazzy acid injected to playful and even more stripped straight forward cuts. a new wave of bedroom producers is slowly penetrating the dance floors. excellent release that will go down well with fans of like minded releases mood hut records or going good for example.
swedish underground powerhouses mr tophat & art alfie return to bass culture with their second ep for the label after the phenomenal success of their first outing, which picked up strong support from across the scene, particularly from ricardo villalobos. this time around, they drop two hefty slabs of disco-tinged house imbued with their own distinct flavour throughout. ‘dub the rub’ pumps along with an infectious groove, tough percussion powers along with a rolling bassline. watch out for the vocal-led breakdown midway through, killer! on the flip, ‘fnatt’ works around a more traditional melodic house motif, tender and bright with a lush b-line and captivating vocals made to move your body and soul.
we left herva & dukwa with a bunch of bangers with their latest ep -it fell down-… we found em back only after few months with their first lifes track longer player featuring an impressive variety of styles but always with their unmissable, raw and twisted up touch. this album of 8 tracks, spread in one twelve and a seven inches, starts on a side with the funky break of -needed-, continuing with the deep driving moment of -amore- and the hip hop beat of -put it on-. on the flip side instead we find the catchy vocal riff of the stomping roller called -freak with us- followed by the soulful ghetto tech vibe of “call it you” and the melancholic, romantic, stoned and rotten lullaby of -tired brass-. more tasty and unusual grooves are included in the tiny wax which close the record up, on a side the peaceful, abstract, suspended and atmospheric dimensions of * play with me* and on the other the glow-fi-sh and -emo--tech wave of -venere-. unmissible!
MOMENTS IN BETWEEN (IVAN SMAGGHE REMIX)(WHITE COLOURED VINYL)
coloured 12 Inch 26.06.15
the first in a series of vinyl and digital releases from the invisible cities collective (i.e.: luca c & brigante + cosmic guests). moments in between brings back the folk vocals of zeben jameson (a mountain of one) and the release includes a remix and a dub from ivan smagghe. the original would fit perfectly on a baldelli cassette. electronic piano grooves and vintage drum machines support zebs soaring vocals throughout before a classic drum machine break and future space jazz outro. check morning sun from invisible cities first ep (2011) for more z. jameson
official re-issue of larry heards the housefactors project!another one of his classics!raw and relentless tracks that went so far from any electronic dance music from that period that to date this is still recognized as larry heards signature sound. with his mr fingers and fingers inc. projects going towards club use, this and his gherkin jerks showed another side of him maybe a darker side, but for sure a more raw and different side with music that sounds as if it came from another planet.jacking tracks that to date only larry heard have made like this. many producers have been inspired or tried imitate his sound with all good intentions, but still, gherkin jerks and the housefactors are some of the most unique projects in house music history. play it loud originally came out in 1988 (!) on black market records. and how cool is it to see an official re-issue on the original label by the original guys who did this almost 25 years ago!eternal respect to larry heard and a big thanks to black market records for making this important record available again.
kojiki groove is magnesiis second release on chronocircle. compared to his previous circle002, this is more of a club orientated 12inch rather than its hypnotic psych-techno predecessor. magnesii makes hypnotic music, preferably in a space out of time and reality. embracing the absence of computers and screens, the absence of any digital window into the world. some magnesii tracks form a conceptual whole, circle002 is an example of this: its a piece of music made to epitomize a psycho-dramatic hallucinate trip from the past. sounds to emulate saturated and hypnotic imagery
michael l penman s lazy boy opens up proceedings on a dark and hypnotic tip with dreamy pad lines, modulating bass tones and weighty distorted rhythms. belgium s igor vicente reworks lazy boy next and provides a more reduced take on things with sparse percussive elements and menacing atmospheres. on the flip side scott kemp turns in sirma , a subtly unfolding groove-led number built around stripped rhythms and soft synth flourishes, while sascha dive rounds off the package by reshaping sirma into a brooding, seven-minute mesmeric workout.
tresor is proud to welcome mønic to its catalogue.
head of osiris music, mønic is an accomplished producer based in the united kingdom. his style can be defi,,ned as raw yet exceptionally refi,,ned, allowing for a certain industrial inspiration to ooze from his productions and outstanding sound design. * parsons hill* opens with tumultuous percussions that continue to escalate throughout the track as an eerie looming synth dances above the kicks. alternatively, * morse* reveals another side of the artist with a more serene attitude. here, static passes through a magnetic fi,,eld with a constant palpitating bass. * hollow victory* opens with thunderous clangs and a fl,,urry of ominous chimes that echo through the darkness swirling above a pulsating heartbeat.
finally hydergine joins the knotweed records family! hydergine (aka roberto corizzo) is a techno producer from southern italy. he is best known for producing raw dub techno, and has come up with a string of fantastic releases in the last 3 years on labels such as separate skills and ranges.we have been talking to each other since the early days of knotweed records, trying to find the right tracks for the label. roberto approached us at the beginning of the year with some tracks that were a bit -different- than his usual productions: he was experimenting, and we liked it a lot. that s how the gamma experiments e.p. was born.the a side of the gamma experiments e.p. is a heavy atmospheric techno bomb. both tracks on the b side have more an acid feeling to them, incorporating weird arps, rawness and pad trips.enjoy the ride!
felix bernhardt s brand new ep on vi tva records comes with 4 fresh, hot, driving techno tracks. after more released remixes on vi tva of patrick arbez tracks we re very proud about now to present our first complete felix bernhardt vinyl. it s time for - triebstück now...

back in 2013, futureboogie released the fade ep by outboxx, a record that received critical acclaim from the who’s who of music press, helping to propel outboxx on the upward trajectory they’ve managed to maintain since those early releases. unsurprisingly, futureboogie are delighted to get the pair back for more.
oniris returns with new ep on astropolis records. this 4-track maxi includes a gregor tresher remix and has been composed with the same ingredients that made his the fame of the producer: a melodic techno and a smooth universe in which groove accents coexist with more obscure sounds.
darkness breeds darkness. since the beginning of time, the secret quest has always been how to simulate this blackness. vent explores the dark side of things, guided by the fearless stephanie sykes lighting the way. a complimentary reinterpretation from dasha rush is shedding new light on stephanie’s visions. with this installment, vent is more than pleased to display a different take on techno, both deeply atmospheric and danceable.
we have started a new project from a new part of finish team records only on vinyl. for the first release we have made a 4 track e.p. with the main artists of the label: manu p, andrea rubolini, aumrec & gabriele orsini. first track is composed by manu p, and is named el torito. is the perfect track for the summer time, with a latin tech house with a huge bass and melodic voice, perfect for the middle of the night set. the second is a track by andrea rubolini (the crowd), also here a huge bass during all the track and a melodic synth that characterized the track. the third track by aumrec (elonove), is more techno, with lot of strange and secret minimal part and a solid and fresh kick. gabriele orsini also composed the fourth track (the suspect), a techno and intense travel trough the dark techno scene.
after big success of the first classic series by k alexi shelby, technorama is back with another great package. we started the classic series featuring tracks that we love, bought, played out and which we have the feeling more people should know about them. for this second, it is a great honor for us to welcome such a living legend, a pioneer from the detroit house scene terrence parker and the chicago veteran ellery cowles. this project includes two secrets cuts and timeless moments of detroit house & chicago techno.
on a side: *welcome to southfield*, a massive and very demand house instrumental track from terrence parker. released in 1997 on studio k7! records and issue from his *detroit after dark* lp.
on b side: *madball*, previously released in 1998 on dafunk! records, our favorite secret weapons, a real masterpiece of chicago jackin techno by ellery cowles (black nation, djax up beats, synewave).
marco niemerski, aka german dj and producer tensnake is set to release his keep on talking / the walk ep via his own imprint, true romance on june 8th 2015.‘keep on talking is a tingling and infectious cut, defined by an exuberant bassline and lush wandering synths that hark back to an era gone by, while the walk takes a darker, more minimalist tone with slinky, staggered house beats
a second release of the year for the emergent common dreams label sees reedale rise producer simon keat join the fold with a pair of thoughtful, pensive deep house cuts. lead track -pressure box- is the track with a sense of unpredictable funk, giving us juicy chords, starry-eyed pads and an overall nice atmosphere with the drums moving ever forward. the b-side azikiwe fuses sporadic arpeggiations with some very thoughtful chord melodies. maybe it could be described as having a more psychedelic twist. another fine house record from the common dreams team.
limited edition, 300 copies.

fel sweetenberg strikes back with a new opus on effiscienz records! but this time it is more the beatmaker than the emcee that we discover even if he is featured on a few tracks. this new album is the result of the partnership between camdens finest emcee/beatmaker and queens notorious starvin b. fel delivers minimalist soulful beats that perfectly fit starvins devastating flow who drops precise and technical rhymes effortlessly all over the project.
the fifth installment of the prrukblk series includes 3 buldging techno bits giorgio gigli and ness. leaning towards the more sinister side of techno this record contains everything from off beat rhythms to sinister early morning themes.

urban ethiopian music stands out within the african continent thanks to its creativity and originality. whatever the shade - pop, blues, jazz or soul - it comes from a fusion of local musical traditions mixed with an echo of western music. it bewitched ethiopia during the swinging addis decade before recently winning the favours of a well-informed audience all over the world. this first vinyl volume of *ethiopian urban modern music* presents a selection of the more funkier ethiopian tracks, drawn from the essential ethiopiques cd series directed by francis falceto and published by buda music.
a made up sound returns to clone basement series with the third volume in his archive sequence, a strong and varied 4-tracker due out mid june. opener cheater vip is probably the most floor-ready offering here, from there on the ep gradually takes a more narrative turn, from the slower paced gravel stomp and soundtrack strings of funkstation to the emotive, off-kilter diptych us and them on the b-side.
berlin head mike davis drops four tracks of uncompromising techno taking inspiration from the raw side of house music and 90 s 303 acid culture, what makes this collection stand out is its freeness. it could be argued that the structure and arrangements fall more in line with jazz than traditional techno. mike manages to avoid the constraints of techno production and delivers natural yet unpredictable arrangements. themes and moods change throughout taking you on a journey through berlin via detroit.
